化工、食品、制药、建材行业都有大量储罐——原料罐、中间罐、成品罐、反应釜。罐里存了多少料,直接关系到生产调度和库存管理。但传统的液位计、流量计在储罐测量上问题不少,越来越多人改用称重方案。

为什么料罐称重优于液位计?
液位计测量储罐,有几个"硬伤":
- 受密度影响:同体积的物料,密度不同,重量不同,液位计算不准
- 受温度影响:液体热胀冷缩,液位读数漂移
- 受泡沫、挂壁影响:搅拌起泡、物料挂壁,液位计失灵
- 只能测液位,测不了固体:粉料、颗粒料储罐,液位计根本没法用
而称重方案直接测罐体重量,不管物料是固体、液体还是浆料,重量数据都是准的。这就是储罐称重的核心价值。
料罐称重系统的组成
一套完整的料罐称重系统,三件套:
1. 称重模块(含传感器)
储罐一般配 3~4 套称重模块,均匀安装在罐的支脚下。
- 大型料罐用剪切梁传感器 + 模块(如 YLA8 + MK2)
- 中小型料罐用悬臂梁传感器 + 模块(如 YLA6 + MK1)
选型要点:
- 量程:单套容量 =(罐自重 + 最大物料重量)÷ 套数 × 安全系数 1.5~2
- 材质:化工料罐必须全不锈钢,防腐
- 防护:罐底常积水、清洗,必须 IP68
2. 称重仪表
把传感器的信号转换成重量数字,并输出给控制系统。
选型要点:
- 通讯接口:要对接 PLC/DCS,常见 RS485、以太网、CAN 总线
- 远程标定:储罐现场可能有腐蚀、有危险,能远程清零标定最好
- 多路输入:一个仪表能接多只传感器,减少仪表数量
3. 连接电缆与接线盒
多只传感器通过接线盒汇总,再接入仪表。接线盒要防水防腐,和传感器匹配。

The chemical, food, pharmaceutical and building-material industries all have large numbers of storage tanks — raw material tanks, intermediate tanks, finished product tanks and reactors. How much material is stored in a tank directly affects production scheduling and inventory management. But traditional level gauges and flow meters have many problems in storage tank measurement, so more and more people are switching to weighing solutions.
This article explains how to configure a tank weighing system.
Why is tank weighing better than a level gauge?
Level gauges measuring storage tanks have several "hard flaws":
- Affected by density: materials of the same volume with different densities have different weights, making level calculation inaccurate
- Affected by temperature: liquids expand and contract with heat, causing level readings to drift
- Affected by foam and wall adhesion: agitation foaming and material adhesion disable level gauges
- Can only measure liquid level, not solids: for powder and granular material tanks, level gauges are useless
In contrast, weighing directly measures the tank body weight. No matter whether the material is solid, liquid or slurry, the weight data is accurate. This is the core value of storage tank weighing.
Composition of a tank weighing system
A complete tank weighing system is a three-piece set:
1. Weighing module (including load cell)
Storage tanks usually use 3 ~ 4 weighing modules, evenly installed under the tank's support legs.
- Large tanks use shear beam load cells + modules (such as YLA8 + MK2)
- Small and medium tanks use cantilever beam load cells + modules (such as YLA6 + MK1)
Selection points:
- Capacity: single module capacity = (tank dead weight + maximum material weight) ÷ number of modules × safety factor 1.5 ~ 2
- Material: chemical tanks must be full stainless steel for corrosion resistance
- Protection: tank bottoms often flood and get washed, so IP68 is a must
2. Weighing indicator
Converts the load cell signal into a weight number and outputs it to the control system.
Selection points:
- Communication interface: must connect to PLC/DCS — common options are RS485, Ethernet and CAN bus
- Remote calibration: storage tank sites may be corrosive or hazardous, so remote zeroing and calibration is best
- Multi-channel input: one indicator can connect multiple load cells, reducing the number of indicators
3. Connecting cables and junction box
Multiple load cells are combined through a junction box before entering the indicator. The junction box must be waterproof, corrosion-resistant and matched to the load cells.
